Mute..

In the midst of all the chaos, I just wonder,

My mind is flooded with thoughts to ponder

Memories float in this ocean of thoughts

And in between the ocean I find myself lost.

Friends have gone never to return

Eyes don’t show but heart still yearns

I wonder sometimes is this what I’ve earned

What were we then & look how we’ve turned

Eyes closed I try to cry

But tears don’t trickle and eyes run dry

Have I lost myself in this rush to the peak?

Why don’t the words come, why do I struggle to speak?

Superb. Simple and subtle. Such spontaneous flow of thoughts. But why is that most of your posts are in a melancholic\philosophical tone ? There are other genres in poetry which you should explore and post on. In that case you can even build categories\classification for your poems. Secondly it would be good if this only a "poetry" blog. In which case this can get listed alongside other poetry blogs. The other posts may be you can consider moving it to an another blog.

More on the poem itself
"Have I lost myself in this rush to the peak?

Why don’t the words come, why do I struggle to speak?"

These two lines make the poem for me. Beautiful. Keep writing.

is it because the heart is silent?
or is it that life is so tolerant?
coz time was a spectator when we ran all the way,
and now has come its time to have its own say.

when sound does come, there none to listen,
everyone has a life, their own reason to hasten,
so i speak to the walls, to the wind,
knowing in our heart that negligence has sinned.

to somehow put it into one word 'fabulous'. The very simplicity that doesnt take away the focus from the wrenching heart of the matter gives more than life and soul to this one, it gives its own form, maybe something like you, something like me?

don't listen to what anybody says. simply continue writing only on whatever pleases you(or displeases you :) ). that is after all the only way you can stay true to your heart.

have got to tell you this is the 2nd time you have inspired me to write something, and so i dedicate this one also to you.

(you can check out the other one also from the 'Beacons' page.)

thats exactly why i said, be true to your own self and just keep writing. (pssst. dont tell anyone yet, there's going to be a second part to that poem. goes to show how much material you have packed into your concise poem)
